Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer
The story of the Mask of the Betrayer starts from where the Neverwinter Nights2 ended up. The main campaign starts at Rashemen near the Kingdom of Thay. There have been three acts in Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer and Safiya is shown to meander in different locations. Players can acquire only four companions in any play through but NWN2: MotB features six companions. Players can also import characters from the Neverwinter Night 2 or create the characters of their own. If at starting the player has a character down to level 18, the character will be automatically updated to level 18.
The notable characters of the Neverwinter Nights2: Mask of the Betrayer are Safiya, Gannayev, Kaelyn the Dove, Okku, One of Many, Araman and Ammon Jerro. Just like Neverwinter Nights 2, Mask of the Betrayer maintains maximum of four classes per character. Also when compared to 20 levels of Neverwinter Nights 2, it feature 30 levels. All of the races of Neverwinter Nights are incorporated in the Mask of the Betrayer. Along with this it also features newly added races like Genasi, Half-drow and Wild elf.
Mask of the Betrayer, an expansion pack for Neverwinter Nights 2, is developed on Electron Engine. This game engine features two camera angles. The first camera angle is called 3rd Person camera because it is attached to the shoulder and provides the front view in accordance with the movement of mouse and keyboard. The second one is of RTS style for zooming and controlling. Because of shortage of time, despite of release at scheduled date, there are many scenes that had been cut from the Neverwinter Nights 2 expansion pack. Mask of the Betrayer has got high applause from the games magazines and reviewers. I will say that it is the nice game to play with.
